Linnaea Cahill is a product manager and researcher focused on agricultural sustainability, particularly in water-scarce regions. With a background in Civil Engineering and a master’s degree in Water Management from Delft University of Technology, her work bridges technical research and on-the-ground implementation of agricultural advisories.
Her academic research centered on ecohydrology and nature-based solutions, including the design and modeling of plant-based drainage systems to mitigate erosion and manage water more effectively. Linnaea has also gained field experience in diverse contexts, including agricultural systems in East Africa and Central America, and has contributed to international research on water infrastructure and urban sustainability.
In her current role, she works in Delft, Netherlands and Maharashtra, India, as a Researcher and Product Specialist. Her responsibilities include managing Makara, a tool for agri-accounting, and supporting cotton farmers in adopting water-efficient practices. She also develops and manages digital monitoring reporting and verification of the use of Makara.
Linnaea brings a systems-thinking perspective and a strong commitment to practical, climate-resilient solutions. Through stakeholder engagement, and fieldwork, she helps bridge the gap between sustainability science and day-to-day agricultural decision-making.
